I have a Canon Imageclass MF6530 copier that the document feeder will not feed. When i put a document into the document feeder it will only pull the document about 2 inches or less and then nothing further happens.

First, try changing some Document Feed Rollers etc.

FC8-9251-000 is the pickup roller
FL3-1023-000 is the separation pad FM3-8679-000 is the feed roller

That would fix 80% of the problems you may encounter

make sure the paper select is from the tray were the paper is if you dont know put paper in top & bottom tray and see from where the paper is pulling. Note! dont put more than 5 papers at a time when testing it.

There is something on your scan glass. My guess is you are getting the line on your copies when you run the original through the document feeder. If you get lines through the document feeder but not on copies made off the glass then it is a dirty scan glass. There is a thin glass strip where the document feeder feeds the original. Usually something like white out that did not dry smears off an original and ends up on this thin strip of glass. Scratch it off with your finger nail and use some glass cleaner to resolve the problem. The scan glass is about 1/2 an inch to an inch wide and will be on the same side of the machine that the copier feeds the originals in on.

Do you see the same smudge mark if you lay the original on the platen rather than using the document feeder? If it only shows when using the document feeder, clean the scanning glass for the document feeder. It's the small glass to the left of the main glass with the cover open. Use a damp cloth and clean off any dirt or white-out.

May be an pressure in fixing unit or drum unit.

Look at the sensor arms on the feeder cover...open feeder,and take it off from the sides..there are little wings that pop out of socket, and look at the black toggle arms... one most likely is dislodged...make sure they all toggle freely...ckeck the one towards the bottom first...if you have to , take screws out and pull cover apart to re-insert toggle arms....

If your copies are clean when you scan them by opening the top and laying the original on the platen, you need to check the scanner for the ADF (automatic document feeder). It's a narrow strip of glass to the left of the scanning platen glass. Clean it with a soft cloth dampened with clear water. (Look for some type of deposit that aligns with where you see the line on the page.)

the imageclass MF6530 cannot print in color it can only print in black and white. the only thing that this machine can do with color is to scan color documents to your computer otherwise it is a black and white copier and printer with color scan.

This is a "monochome printer" ie B/W, double sided is called duplex select this option on printer driver on pc
