My panasonic projector pt-ae3000u is not seeing the HDMI connection to my ps3 which is a new machine. Both machines are new. Do I have to do something before I connect both of them for them to see each other?

Should work right away, are selecting the correct HDMI input? (1,2 or 3?)

Do you have a way of checking the cable?

Is Panasonic projector PT-LB20U compliant with HDCP?

Since the PT-LB20U only has VGA, S-video and composite video inputs, it isn't HDCP compliant. You would need a device with DVI (sometimes), HDMI, or DisplayPort inputs. See page 15 for the connections available on the projector.

Panasonic has the manual for the projector on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/PTLB20U-EC.html . The direct link to the manual is http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PTLB20NTU.PDF .

I wish that I had better news for you.

Cindy Wells
(the high definition copy protection details require the digital video signal capabilities of the newer inputs. Most digital to analog converters (HDMI to VGA, for example) do not support HDCP.)

Hi there, I'm having a strange problem that has really confused me and I'm sure it's something simple that's tripping me up but I can't figure this out. -Im not getting an image from any of my HDMI...

if you can select the hdmi inputs ok
and swap them around without a good result

if no image etc
you would expect there to be a default no signal message or error something on the viewing screen
if a total blank
could be possible the Projector unit has a internal board failure

Panasonic 3000u projector overheating

it depends after how long the temperature indication comes
if it comes immediately as soon as the projector comes on[say in 1 min] then the ballast circuit has to be replaced.
if the temperature comes after say 5 mins , it could be that one of the exhaust fans is not moving freely and needs to be replaced!

Projector turn off into two minutes and do not turn on

If the Panasonic Logo comes and then the projectors turns off, the main board of the projector requires replacement!

Panasonic logo comes on for 7-8 seconds then shus off.

This is most likely a fan issue. Remove both covers (there are 2), so that the PCB is exposed. Using compressed air (ideally from a compressor, not from a can), blow all of the dust out of the unit, especially near the fans (there are 4 of them). If this doesn't work, you may have a dead fan. PacParts sells replacements.

When we turn on our PT-AE3000U it will power up until the blue screen with "PANASONIC" written across it appears and then it will just shut off. WHy is this?? We have changed to lamp in it...

if it abruptly turns off the thermal sensor could be worn out and triggering to shutdown, other than this it may be software related.

be sure that the projector is receiving a signal in the correct input form a DVD player or something to ensure that its not just on the standby screen.
