Can I cook without the inner pot?

No, sorry, but the inner pot is essential in every slow cooker I've ever come across.

Rival SlowCooker # SCV 5609. The inner crock pot has cracked, letting liquid through into the outer pot. Can I get a replacement for the inner pot?

Crock-pot.com is the place for Rival parts, but they say they list no parts for the model you gave. You can try making sure the model number is correct and try again, or call them at 800-323-9519 for help.

Looking for a replacement inner stoneware crockpot for Crockpot SCV1600BS Saute Slow Cooker 5.7L

Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.

Defective part

To better address the problem with your nonstick pot... I need more information on the steps you have used to clean the pot and the extent of damage to the pot itself.

You indicated that the damage has occured between the pot and the inner surface of the cooker base? Is this a corrosive damage or a build up of material on the inner liner of the base?

Often times a build up of 'hard water' minerals accumulates on the inner surface due to condensation and occasional overflows from the foods being cooked. They can appear to be a type of fungus or mold.

Broken

If it is a factory defect less than 90 days take it back to the store or pay for the mail to rival for replacement.
If over 90 days since your purchase, you need to purchase a new crock pot there are many to choose from and most are less than $25.00 dollars.
good luck
