No Picture My Samsung was made in 2004. I bought it used. Worked fine for two months, then it would have a quick white flash of lightto black and then return to normal. Then it had a whit flash to black but did not come back on its own. The power indicator was blinking red. Let it sit for two hours and it would come back on like nothing happen. This week flash of white to black, stayed black ever since. The Power indicator is now consantly red unless you hit the power it gose threw the startup but just blinks red. Is she dead?

No picture on a DLP when you can see the lamp is working is ALWAYS the DLP chip. BECAUSE you recently replaced the color wheel, i suspect that the LVDS/data cable to the light engine was not plugged in well and has come loose. I suggest checking and rechecking every cable and plug you can find.
My Toshiba dlp 62hm116 was used for 3 months then stored for 2 years, I turned it on yesterday and it makes a loud grinding noise which I think is probably from the exhaust fan area and the picture is black except white at both vertical sides. It worked fine the last time I used it 2 years ago. Any ideas?
thanks for rapid comm.resolved issue .stb is a old version ,does not support hdtv ,changed to a newer version,everything worked fine.once again thank u
There is a fault in the main processor that is causing noise. The set will have to be serviced. The tech will probably try the main video processing board to start.
