Volume I have the Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 30GB, it was dropped, i picked it up and everything looks normal, screens, functioning but i cant hear a thing????????

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click agree. This will start the download. Then run the program on your computer and you should be able to manage your Zen with this software. Let me know if it works.

you probably need the disk it came with and if you cant find it look for it on the internet and you might wanna try a program called WINAMP to transfer music to your ipod

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

I had the same problem with a blanked screen after a drop. I was able to get it back by disassembling the unit and GENTLY pushing down at the top of the LCD. Apparently it stopped making a good connection when I dropped it.. whew! I've seen a number of comments about the same issue; hopefully this will help.

I modded my unit as well with a larger hard drive, so I didn't want to send it in to Creative for repair...

LCD is soldered onto the board. Meaning the difficulties of replacing the LCD will be there, not to say it would not be possible. But for about the same price (my guess by looking on ebay), you could get a used Zen Xtra (without a hdd) for about $30 or less. After you get a new board you could replace your player with the new used one, making use of your old hdd

First thing i would do is make sure your at the current firmware.
