Your not cooking it for the right time,,(to short a time) that would also make it heavy, also what mix are you using? try cooking oil in your mix, not butter, and dont put to much water in the mix,

I have not had any luck with the machine since I bought it! For one thing, the "recipe" booklet does not include basic white bread! I have tried a couple of the recipes and the bread is...

Here is a website for all the recipes you could want:

From the description of your problem it sounds as if your yeast is weak or you are not using enough or there was not enough sugar to feed the yeast. Here is another site with recipes but also offers a tip chart that you may find useful:

Orange Poppy Seed Breakfast Bread from Black and Decker Model B2200 breadmaker - came out very stodgy and heavy - dough was not properly cooked? Any ideas. Also - recipe from same book which came with...

Could be old flour or old yeast, not enough fluid. And the temperature of your kitchen.
Usually half a cup of raisins and usually there is a beep when to add, but can be added the second knead cycle. depends on the recipes. Also, I find that if you roll the raisins in a dusting of flour it helps them distribute through the loaf better.

Dont know what u cook in it

Oh dear you can cook anything in a deep fryer. some sugestions french fries, breaded chicken, breaded or tempera mushrooms, cut mozzarella sticks in half and bread by dipping in egg and rolling in your favorite bread crumbs drop in fryer till brown about 3 minutes at 375-400 degrees and you'll have the best fried mozzarella ever. any sliced and breaded vegetable will cook fast and taste great.

Help - the stirrer keeps sticking, the motor strains to turn it round but it won't go when the dough is in, its too heavy. The last loaf I made I had to take the dough out of the machine and kneed it...

Hi,
Take the bread pan out of the machine and run a kneading cycle. See if the motor is straining. If it is it could be a belt or the motor itself. If the motor runs nice and smooth and you can see the motor shaft spinning effortlessly, then it's the bread pan itself. See if you can spin the paddle easily when it is out of the machine. If not then it is the sealed bearing in the bread pan that is starting to fail and it's time for a new bread pan. Hank

Bread made by my Panasonic SD253 breadmamer is sticky in the middle. The yeast is fresh and adequate. The machine is two years old and is well used. This is a recent problem What can be done to improve...

you may need to let it cook longer. it sounds like it's the heating element not working as it did when it was new. can you clean the interior, especially anywhere you don't usually clean after making bread? even the slightest build-up of dust/dirt/crumbs etc, will keep the breadmaker from making bread as it did.
