Nintendo ds lite won't read card

Help, my sons Nintendo DS Lite won't read the DS cards. It will read the gameboy advance games. Anything I can do without buying a new one? I was able to fix my PS2 with help from online but couldn't find anything about the ds lites

Thanks,

Had this problem, i looked into where the game goes and one of the little metal teeth was bent, so i took a long toothpick and gently pushed it back over now it works fine. Be careful that you dont break it off though.

my ds froze alot when i was playing pokemon pearl and diamond and one day it just stopped playing all my ds games and in the slot 1 like you said a tooth was bent and when i turned on my ds it would freeze or wouldnt even show the screen what do i do and how do i fix it??

  • stoph2 Dec 21, 2010

'a lot'. 'alot' is not a word. Neither is afew, abit, alittle, ahouse, abike, adog, ahat, asock, arapist, aclock, aduck, apotato... So why 'alot'?

  • Anonymous Apr 30, 2013

a lot of people probably click on this page looking for "ds lite won't read game cartridges" rather than "is it 'alot' or 'a lot', but thanks for providing a place for people looking for both!

I have this problem right now.
With my DS Lite,
check in your slot 1. The pins are basically pushed down, and they are bent. Or,you can't play slot 1 no more because one of the pins fell in the system.
What I did yesterday was call Nintendo, and they will repair it.
(Also,If you don't have a serial number or any other broken problems, they will repair it for free. This takes 3 weeks)
It's not the card, its the DS.

Call (800) 255-3700. It is Nintendo's customer support

  • cm961 Oct 16, 2010

I called but both my units are out of warranty. The one unit has had games swapped in it maybe 20 times total. That's a pretty quick failure. It seems Nintendo products aren't the ones to buy. They want $110 (CAD) to repair each unit.

Corupted data on Nintendo DS Lite

is it definitely "any" game? Reason is that a lot of games are now suffering from flat batteries, the symptom of which is what you're saying, corrupt save data.

The only solution is to change the battery if thats the case.
