How high should we install our chandelier over the dining room table?

It depends how high your ceiling is and the size of the chandelier. If your dining room is eight feet tall, hang the chandelier 27 to 36 inches above the table.

The best dining room table shape for a room with limited space is a round table. You should look into finding one with an extension leaf if you have enough space to open it. Try looking for a table where you can fit more people around it by purchasing one with a pedestal base. This leaves more room for your guests legs without the legs of the table getting in the way.

What is the right height for a kitchen chair?

There are a few factors the go in to determining the properheight for a kitchen chair. Dining roomtables tend to be about 30 inches tall. Therefore, you don't want your chairs to be more than 18.5 to 20 incheshigh.

How high above the dining room table should I hang my electric chandelier?

The height you hang your chandelier above your kitchen tabledepends on the wattage of the light bulbs and the of the chandelier. If you are using lower wattage light bulbs,you should hang the fixture about 2.5 feet above the center of your dining roomtable. If you are using higher wattagebulbs, I suggest hanging it 3 feet about the table so it is not too bright.

Are conference tables and dining room tables interchangeable?

I definitely suggest using your conference room table as adining room table because all you need to do is put some placemats and acenterpiece and it morphs into a dining table. I'm not sure that I'd recommend using your dining room table as aconference table because it might look out of place in an office. Also, conference tables tend to have holes inthe center for cords or phones to be plugged in to.

Kitchen and dining room tables are generally the same. Except, sometimes dining room tables are a bit larger and made out of stronger materials.

Newly installed Leviton dimmer switch humming at the switch

Unfortunately, the hum is normal for operation of that type of dimmer at low levels. Sometimes the lamp filaments will also "sing" a high pitched sound.
