On the scan menu it doesn't say scan to PC. It will scan to reprint or scan to memory device. It doesn't show that I have a memory device (would that be a PC)? It will reprint and that is all [email protected]

Upgrade ur drivers. Select printer icon n then rt click go to trouble shooting

Only one scan come's through, the same one I put In days ago.

if it is XP, then click on start , then run , in run type wiaacmgr.exe and hit enter, try to scan.

In vista and windows 7 , replace run with start search box.

You could scan to the memory card, and then transfer the file from the memory card to your PC with a card reader, or your digital camera.

The best way to scan documents from the scanner to your computer is to use HP Photosmart Essential. If you don`t already have it installed it can be downloaded from the HP site. Once in the program it is very simple to follow. It is basically a point and click operation.

This happens mainly when you try to scan from the printer ;
Always try to scan from HP solution center but still here is the resolution:
Open Hp Solution center
Click on Settings
Click on scn settings
click on Scan to Setup
Select all the option available to updrade the Front panel menu list and click on ADD
Click on Update;
Restart the computer and the printer and try to scan.
It should resolve the issue.

I reinstalled the program and will control the printer from my computer. The scan menu still does not say, 'scan to computer', as the basic guide book says that it should.

the save as function is in the print/scan manager, not the software..you'll need to point it to where you want it to save, and also what format

me too. What I just did, was open up word and then pressed scan. That worked, so maybe open the place you want the scanned item to go to and it will go there. You can tell I'm not a techie.
