Hi if turning it off at the plug for couple of hours then switching it back on dont cure the problem also check batterys in remote if this still dont work then you might have problem with video card or something relating to that or you might find that its going to be a resistor or transistor in the high voltage part of the circuit.
If you have multimeter and know how to test these compnents then you will need the schematics to follow and also need to be able to solder in any new parts you might need.
You will need the schematics so you can get any part numbers you might need let me know what you want to do ok

Hi,

Did you try disconnecting the TV from the power for a few hours to reset it?

SOURCE: Stuck in stand by

I can't guarantee a solution, but your problem could be as simple as a stuck button... or as complex as damaged circuitry. Make sure you've tried unplugging it for a while before you try anything else. say 10-15min Is the "action" of your on set buttons normal? If not try working it or cleaning it. Pop it off and clean thoroughly if able. Not while plugged in! I saw a set like this where a button was stuck and it made it constantly switch sources; upon cleaning it we found what looked like a bit of cheese dip back there. Worth a look anyway!

If the set is turned off to standby by its remote control, you must have its remote cotnrol to power it ON. No buttons on the front panel will work at this condition.

It wont turn on its stuck on stand by any suggestions? when we do get the tv turned on we cant knock it off or it takes hours of fiddling with the remote standby button to get it back on the tv is a...

This sounds like the front panel assembly(FPA) switches are acting up. What happens with this model is the FPA switches start to conduct just as if someone was pressing the buttons. This in effect locks up the system control or causes it to do erratic things.
The way to determine if the FPA is bad is to remove it by unplugging from set. This requires front panel disasembly. Note:The remote will still work with the FPA removed so the set can be tested.
Let me know if you need more help or info.

JVC LT-26DF7BK won't turn on

Hi I had the same problem with my LT-26C31BJE. The TV just stuck in standby mode. If you tried to turn it on, it seemed like it tried to power up, but then reverted back to standby.

I solved it this way. I took the back off the TV (unplugged of course) and made sure all visible contacts were home (they all seemed to be). Also to the right of where the power lead enters the box there is a small fuse, 250V 6.3 W. I replaced this fuse and the TV now works fine.

RCA 27V412T FPA LOCK ON & REMOTE LOCK

If the front panel lock is on, you will need a working original remote (or a universal remote properly programmed for RCA) to turn the set on. The IR receiver is next to the buttons on the fromt but the RCA IR receivers are very reliable, and I have yet to see a bad one in a modern RCA TV. Once you turn the set on by remote, you can enter the menu and turn the FPA off.
