Sony monitor desk top wallpaper

Sound like your running Windows 7 Starter addition, it does not allow personalized desk top images. if you are not running started edition please clarify the version of windows you are running please. Hope this helps

Unforetunately you cannot do anything to your desktop background because that is the default feature of Windows 7 Starter Edition.
You have to upgrade at least Home Premium of your Operating System for you to change it .

To change the desktop background:

1. Go to Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Change desktop background.

2. This will bring up picture location : desktop background. You will see boxes next to all the different pictures that you can select as wallpaper.

3. Select the box next to the picture that you want to choose as your wallpaper(this will put a check in it.)

4. If you want the picture to fill the screen, under picture position, select "Fill."

5. Click "Save Changes." in the lower right of the window.

Another way to change the wallpaper-

1. Right click an empty spot on your desktop.

2. Click on Personalize. (This will bring up the personalization window with themes in the main window.

3. Click on the blue link "Desktop Background"


3. This will bring up picture location : desktop background. You will see boxes next to all the different pictures that you can select as wallpaper.

4. Then follow steps 3-5 above.

If your system is running windows 7 try this

1. right click on the desktop and click personalize.



2. click on desktop background

3. choose your desired wallpaper then click apply.

Windows 7 --> At dekstop front page, Right click >Personalize > Click Dekstop Background > Choose pivture > Save

Windows XP --> At dekstop front page, Right click > Properties > Dekstop Wallpaper > Browse your picture file > OK

or just open Windows Explorer > Open Folder where you save the picture file > Click file > Right Click > Set as Dekstop background > DONE

Probably the easiest way to change your wallpaper is to right click on the picture you want, and select "set as wallpaper". Otherwise, right click on the desktop, select properties, go to desktop and browse. (In Vista, right click, select personalize, then desktop.)

right click on your desktop and go to properties, Click on the desktop tab and change your wallpaper to whatever you want. If you dont see a pic you like in that list click on browse to find the one you want.

Hey if you got the window7 starter edition then you wont be able to change the background picture.... thats the demerit of windows7starter

well,anytime you can change your display wallpaper you can restore it on windows screen left click ,then click properties,click desk top select what display you wanna put on to your windows,you can also put your picture of your family,your love ones,on desk top click browse select my picture,then click the pictue then click ok,its all yours have a nice day don't forget to rate me

Open a run command and type in:
regedit.exe click [OK] and locate this Key:
[-]HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System = Look in the right pane/window for "No wallpaper" and remove it.
Right click on the Desktop then select Properties. On the Display properties:
1- click on Desktop tab
2-Click on Customize Desktop Button
3- Click on Web Tab and make sure no check box is checked there, uncheck if
there is a check box.
Reboot your machine and see if you can change the wallapaper
