Have an evesham pc Axis64-KD and need to know type of battery that backs up clock system. Any info please

I cant find any info on your computer, the company stopped trading in 2008, but you can use some software to check everything about your computer.

Unfortunatley, because of the way Vista has been written it needs an entirely different type of driver from XP, so unless there are Vista drivers for this satnav.......

there is a 3 volt flat battery inside the computer, it in most cases clearly visible.


Replace it with the same type of battery, then adjust the clock in the system setup.

All done, all fine.

Needs a new bios battery. Mine lasted 6 months before giving up. However you can leave the laptop plugged into the mains power when computer is switched off and the date/time will be kept. Otherwise change the bios battery or reset the time each time you use it. I phone Evesham and they said that the bios battery is soldered to the chassis on this model and so would need to be returned to the factory for this to be replaced. Since Evesham are now defunct you would need to get a PC repair shop to replace the battery. Is easy to do.
