Question about HP (LSI20320C) (LSI20320C-HP) SCSI Controller
I am using HP-LSI-Logic-Ultra320-SCSI-Controller-PCI-X-403051-001 in Proliant ML-570 G4 server, with an external Ultrium 960 tape drive. The throughput is very slow. Diagnosis shows that card is set to narrow bandwidth. How do I change it to wide mode?
Try to look at this Guide & Manual on "HOW TO"
Just let me know..
Hope my initial idea/info helps you..

Are you attempting to boot from the Windows CD?
If you are booting the server from a Windows installation disk and it is unable to detect the hard drive, this typically means the following things.
You need to provide the driver for the RAID controller of the server (this can vary, depending on the version of the ML370 e.g. G4/G5)
If it still cannot detect the hard drive after providing the driver for the RAID controller or if there is not a driver available for NT4, it may not support the controller.
In this case you can remove the RAID set by entering the RAID setup (could be LSI or adaptec). NOTE THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE DISKS THAT ARE A PART OF THIS RAID SET.
