Sanyo 50' plasma dp50747 will not come back on. I turned the tv on one morning and a few seconds later it turned off. The power to the tv is good. The green light in the front comes on. I removed the back pannel to check the fuses. The main boards led is blinking three times then pauses and blinks three times again and continues. Is it a fuse? I found a ceramic fuse that was showing 330 volts, but when I removed it and tested the fuse bracket there was only 120v going to each side of the fuse. How do I test one of these T2AH250V Ceramic Fuses?

The power supply is failing, or there is another circuit area that is pulling too much current, and the supply is going in to protect mode.

This would require proper troubleshooting by an experienced tech. If the problem is very involved, or the tech is not familiar with the set, he will require the service manuals and service information.

SOURCE: Have a Sanyo Plasma TV

Hello,

Yep. The power supply in Sanyo Plasmas are generally prone to failures. It could be a failure in the panel not priming, but I doubt it. Turn the lights off in the room, then try to turn it on. If you see the screen faintly flash, the panel is priming, but it is not coming on. If the screen is lit, but is still "black," then it is a control or digital board. If it is totally black with no light at all, then it doesn't entirely rule out the first two, but makes a power supply failure more likely.

They usually have a lot of heat damage to them. If you have tried unplugging it for 15 minutes, then plugging it back in and it still doesn't work, the it is most likely a secondary in the power supply.

I hope this helps you...

SOURCE: ysus board number for a sanyo 50'' plasma model dp50747

I just bought a Sanyo DP50747 50 inch plasma. When I pause the tv, then push play (even 1 minute or less) the sound does not start as soon as the picture starts back. I have picture first and no sound for 4 or 5 seconds then the sound continues from that point.

A component in the TV is failing and is not receiving correct voltage, which is causing the TV to enter " protection mode" and shut off. Could be any part of the TV but I would start with the power supply and go from there.

Here is some basic info on testing the power supply.

My 50'' sanyo dp50747 when i trun it on it changes channels by it self

U probably have a depresed buton on the control panel of ur tv. U can open it and pop it back into position. If the problem persists, call a technician to look at the control panel, it wil be faulty and need to replace a few components. Good luck.

Tv keeps turning on and off

You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.

50 inch Sanyo Vizon Plasma TV. Has sound but no picture for last few days. 2 years old

This set has LG insides, it will have failed on either the Y-Sustain PCB or the Z-Sustain PCB.

Quite common.

Repair estimates should be $250 - £350 depending on which has failed.

Stick it on eBay, it will fetch good money faulty.
