THIS DRIVER DID WORK WHEN: 1.IT WAS INSTALLED ON WINXP. THEN 2. WINXP WAS UPGRADED TO VISTA 3. VISTA WAS THEN UPGRADED TO WINDOWS7

  • Anonymous Jan 12, 2010

actually, I just had another look as had trouble reinstalling the driver after it was removed from Windows7 in error.

For the video card Winfast a180bt 128mb, I think that we've been using the wrong driver all along - this driver:
    GE FORCE4 MX 4000

which does work to give screen resolution options not available with the Windows7 default monitor driver. I dunno if it is very clear compared to what the proper driver would be - I reckon its probably comparably inferior (pretty bad). The video cards are junk without a proper video card driver.

Help im changing my tx2150ee from windows vista to windows 7... can anyone help me how to do it? im new at this

You have 2 ways to upgrade from vista to windows7: 1- instaling windows7 from vista (this need to insert setup dvd of windows7 while windows vista it's running and choose to upgrade to windows, but this you can do only if vista and win7 are both 32 bit or 64 bit, you can't upgrade from 32bit to 64 bit), but i don't recomand this way because all programs installed on vista will remain on hard drive as a folder and you lose some space on hard drive. 2- clean install of your copy of windows 7. For this before you start install widows save all your data from partition C to another partition. After that insert your windows7 setup dvd and restart your computer. When your laptop is starting you will see on screen "press any key to boot from cd", just hit any key to do this. if you can't see this message go to bios and change boot option to boot from cd/dvd. For this restart your laptop and hit F2 or DEL key while restarting depending of what chipset your laptop have (try both) and go to boot and there you have instruction of what key to use to change option at the botom of the screen. Now i give you step by step instructions to install windows7: -after boot you will see a window "Install windows", here you can choose language, time, and keyboard type then click next -in next window click on install now -in next window you have licence agreement, click i accept and then next -from next window choose custom install -then choose from the right side "drive option (advanced)" -choose disk0 partition2 (usually is second option, just watch partition dimension, if you have more of one partition) -then choose format -click ok in next window -then click next -now your install is started -after restart write user name and computer name and clik next -type a password if you need one or leave space empty if not and click next -write your windows7 serial and click next -choose first option for windows updates -choose your time -if your windows installed any network driver in next window choose were you use your laptop -thit's it now you have o fresh copy of windows7 Good luck!

I want window vista BUT I DONT KNOW HOW CAN I DO THIS

Hi there !

So tell me, what do you want to do with your computer? Do your computer crash and need to reinstall your Windows Vista operating system? Or you want to upgrade your operating system from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

For reinstalling Windows Vista, is it the same procedure when reinstalling Windows XP and Windows 7. Here is the link on how to reinstall operating system http://www.fixya.com/support/r7410371-reinstall_windows_xp_or_installing_clean. For Windows Vista, here is the procedure on how to reinstall Windows Vista.

1. Just put the installer CD into the CDROM Drive and open your computer
.
2. If message appear to press any key to boot from CD. Press any key to go to Windows Set up.

3. From there, just follow the installation procedure and put CD key if prompted and it will install itself the whole process. It will reboot for 3 times and don't press anykey when this happen. it will be finished within 20 mins.

For upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista, remember that all your files and softwares will be remove except for the hardware drivers. But not all the hardware drivers will be 100% working because upgrading the operating system will make your drivers outdated or not compatible with Windows Vista. If some drivers not working, just install the hardware drivers compatible with Windows Vista.

Here is the procedure.

1. Do not put the Windows Vista installer CD yet into the CDROM drive.

2. Open your computer and let it run to Windows XP program until is is finished to load your Windows settings.

3. Now insert your Windows Vista installer CD to the CDROM drive, it will pop up the upgrade installation wizard and just choose the upgrade installation. It will run the upgrading installation and just follow the instruction and it will be finish with 20 mins.

I hope this will help you and thank you for using FixYa !

I have an hp desk jet 3322 printer no cd need to install and configure can u help?

What Operating System do you have? If you have 2000 or XP here are the drivers:

Drivers for XP or 2000

Drivers for Vista + WIndows7
The alternative driver is Deskjet 3600

Or

HP itself for Drivers for Vista + Windows7

Installation
Also note once you get the driver if you are using a USB cable to connect it to the PC, that you install it like this:

1. Make sure the USB cable is not connected to the PC but connected to the Printer
2. Install the driver
3. When prompted then plug the USB cable into the USB port on the PC to complete the installation process.

1-Can i use this printer with windows7 system. 2-are there a special drivers for Vista & windows7 Rem:i have only USB ports in my nootbook Pls help!

Windows 7 has an impressive driver database preloaded onto it. That means that most devices truly are "Plug and Play"; You plug it in, and it automatically searches for and installs the driver and you go to work. I love Windows 7 for this purpose. While I have rarely found a device not automatically installed through the preloaded database, there are some older devices not supported. In this case, I would recommend going to the manufacturer website where they usually have upgrade tips and compatibility information. If this does not resolve your issue comment back and we can move further with other solutions.

Good Luck,

Cannot connect my MT6225 china phone to my laptop thro the USB. what can i do?

hello, u may have to download the proper drivers plus data manager software from the manufacturers homepage,
they have to fit vista!

if there are just ones for winxp or lower win/versions available, either try connecting phone to a winxp/interent-pc and go through driver-install and so on
or think about downgrading your system to win-xp professional!

win vista is fine but not as reliable as winxp/pro!

good luck

Display drivers for vista

Hi all,
I tried numerous solutions for this issue and none of them worked except this one. I tested it with Vista Ultimate and don’t know if other Vista versions have the same drivers but here’s what worked for me:
1. Right click ‘Computer’ then left click ‘Properties’ to open up System window.
2. Click ‘Device Manager’
3. Click ‘+’ on ‘Display Adapters’ and you should see the drivers for your video. Right click and select ‘Update Driver Software...’
4. Select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ and click ‘next’.
5. Click ‘Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer’
6. Untick ‘Show compatible hardware’
7. Select ‘Intel Corporation’ then select ‘Intel 82865G’. Click next
This will install the drivers. No they are not the same drivers for the hardware but they work a treat!
