Whirlpool refrigerator #ER2CHMXPL02 I think I have two separate problems. 1st one is a water leak that fills the bottom bins daily! The freezer does not seem to be defrosting, everything in there looks...

Could be that the freezer is too full with foodstuff and there is no air circulation, therefor, some places in the freezer build ice. The defroster is working and melting the ice that drips to the bottom bins.
I suggest you remove everything from the freezer. unplug the frigde. Let all ice build ups melt. Remove ice from the foodstuff and put back in. Make sure that vents in the freezer and fridge are not blocked.

Jcb 2059 ges Jen air fridge part not cooling freezer o.k.

If freezer cooling but fridge not cooling, then its a defrost issue.First freezer cools, then cool air from freezer gets to fridge and fridge gets cool. But if freezer defrost cycle not taking place then its faulty defrost assembly parts.

The ice box on the ice dispenser appears to be clogged so ice cannot be dispensed on either setting (chunk or crushed). How does one remove the ice box front to look inside?

Hello there,
For you to be able to remove the ice maker from the refrigerator, you will have to get a screwdriver and a work glove, then you follow the steps below:
  1. Pull the LG refrigerator away from the wall and unplug the electrical cord.
  2. Shut off the water supply valve to the ice maker by twisting the knob clockwise. The valve is built into the metal or plastic tube that feeds water to the ice maker at the back of the appliance.
  3. Open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket below the ice maker. Set the bucket in the sink for the ice to melt.
  4. Lift the white plastic housing off the ice maker and set aside.
  5. Remove the screws that connect the ice maker assembly to the inside back of the freezer, using a screwdriver and work gloves to protect your hands.
  6. Push up on the ice maker from below to release the mechanism.
  7. Disconnect the wire plug that connects the ice maker to the back of the freezer and remove the entire assembly.
  8. When you are through with what ever you want to do with the ice maker.
  9. Reconnect the LG refrigerator power cord and slide the appliance back to its original position.

Hope this helped. All the best Elect_Comp

Ice maker installation

do you have a water supply line connected to the refrigerator? if so, it connects to the water solenoid, so you wont need to install that. if you have no water line, not only do you need to install that, but you will also have to check to see if you also need to install the solenoid assembly. if no solenoid is present, you will likely also have to run a plastic water line, ¼", from the solenoid up the back wall into the sleeve near the top of the back wall, which feeds the water into the freezer, into the icemaker.

if you want to send a check, id be glad to post a video

Ice maker in Sub Zero 642

Call the factory at 800-222-7820 for the manual. It souns like you are missing one or two screws. Pull the ice tray out and lift it up about an inch and it should release. Take a look at the ice maker and there are two supports that both need to have screws on them. There is also a third underneath on some models. Insert the screws and you should be fine.
