Cricket Broadband modems have not been certified for use with these types of devices/applications. Cricket's Customer Care does not troubleshoot these devices or applications.
Some users have found alternative methods in order to achieve this, but please be aware that online game-play may use a large amount of data that may cause account to use up its associated data amount until a user experiences throttled speeds that still provide unlimited internet for basic web browsing and email.
is it from your phone or actucaly broadband if it is from your cricket phone you have to connect you phone it to your computer via usb and and establish a network connection and run your computer of it you ps3 run off your computer
if its regular broadband samething except connect the phone
with a laptop connect the laptop to ps3 with an ethernet cable and on the cricket modem connection goto properties and turn on connection sharing and choose the local are connection as device to share with
but is ok, connect the modem to your ps3, restart the modem, and after all the lights are on about a munite later turn ps3 on and run the connection wizard. then it will work. but after you are done repeat the same steps to use it on pc. (that;s way i say it is good to have a router)
..Cricket Wireless and Ps3.....actually could never go together!!!!!!!!....Cricket do not support gaming systems to be frank!!!!......Cricket recently released a modem , Crosswave Wi-Fi hotspot modem.....and yes it is defenitely meant to set your needs!!!
If u are still adament on getting your Cricket modem work on Ps3, then we two problems to over come....out which we have already discussed one...(1).not all Cricket not being compatible,
(2)and the usage level that cricket gives!!!
Ensure that you have highest rate plan from Cricket ($60).......that will give you 7.5 gb of usage.
So that you would stay connected.
>Install the Cricket application on your computer (on the main computer) and get both computers connected to the router.
>now press Windows + R on your key board.Type in and hit enter on your key board.
Now right click on Cricket Wireless, you would get an option to share the internet, click on the same.It will give you a notification about password being stored and IP address of the computer being changed to 192.168.0.1...,give it your approval by clickin on OK button.
>Now its time for you to have a check with the other computers..you need to get on network connections and change their IP address to the same range of your main computer 192.168.01.02.
>One thing you cant afford to make a mistake on is setting the default gateway to 192.168.0.1.
Oh yes, you are gonna like this info!!!!!
Thank u!!!
1, wireless, make sure that you have an internet connection first with a computer and that you know your network name and password (if you have one set up). Go into the PS3 menu and scroll to the network config section, and set up a new network, where it says SSID this is the name of your network, for example SKY1234. Then it will ask you for a encryption type, for example WPA or WEP and then your password, input your password and let the PS3 do the rest, if there is anything wrong it will tell you.
2, wired through an ethernet cable, again go to the network config section in the PS3's menu and set a wired connection, it will not ask you for your SSID or password as its a wired connection.
If you need anymore help or advice please feel free to post back.
Im not aware of any gadgets, but you can always use the USB stick on one laptop, share the internet connection, and connect the other laptop throught the shared connection.
That would require your laptops to be networked, either by a crossed cat cable or with regular switching or routing.
