Question about Sub-Zero 650 / O Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

I have a sub zero model 650/s2,it is about 6 years old and the refridgerator section did not work Friday and Saturday,the temp climbed to 65 degrees.On Sunday it was back @38 degrees.Prior to this on several occassions items in the refridgerator were warm like milk,yogurt,cottage cheese.We cleaned the top where the compressors are and it is clean.What is going on?

ck the start relay ( or just replace it on the compressor . . if you have 2 comp model its the one on the right side . they get hot and fail . and a very common problem ..

Turning the icemaker on will not have anything to do with a defrost issue. Sounds like the icemaker is culprit.

Why is vacuum condenser light blinking
this is usually a leak in the evap coil,if it's under 12 years old the coil is still under warranty.sub zero is a great machine,the only problem is that the evap coil behind the back wall in the fridge section leaks or a hole develops.the freon leaks out and the fridge section will continue to get warmer,the vacumm coil lite will come on.i've seen this happen to some machines that are 3 years old it happens.you need to get a tech in,he'll recover the gas,evacuate it,replace the coil and add new freon in,if it's under warranty it will be 650 to 750,or if not under warranty 11 to 12 hundred dollars to repair.

There is a defrost timer that may be malfunctioning - or the thermostat itself.

Further testing will need to be done to rule out these items and find the source of the problem.

Refridgerator/freezer will not cycle off

If you have cleaned your condensor located behind the bottom drawer, it sounds like you may have a sealed system problem and the unit is running long to keep up. This is under the five year parts and labor or the year 6 -12 parts only warranty. If it was a board problem and running all out you would not maintain desired temp. If you call the factory at 800-222-7820. They can walk through some more steps to narrow down exactly what you need to do.

That depends on if your model has a five or ten year warranty on the compressor. Your problem may not be warranty related. Check and see if the condenser is clean, check for a frozen cooling coil.

Sub Zero Freezer Vacuum
If your freezer temps are ok, it may just be that your gasket is getting older and it becomes more porus as it ages. The vacume sound doesnt really mean alot except that the difference in the room temp and the cold of the freezer create this vacume.
