What does the beep sound like? If it's "beep. beep-beep" it's just a ram check. it's fine and it will always do that, unless you turn the beep off, which isn't recommended since the beep also alerts you of changes and problems. If you hear any other type/length/number of beeps, check the upper left corner of the monitor. Sometimes it goes by quickly, but it will tell you what was changed (eg. new mouse plugged in, etc.) This should only happen the first time you change a BIOS setting or add a device, and will not alert you upon restart.
Hope that helps. Thanks!:)

Long beep continuous

Hello,
here is a list of beep code for Award bios chip, which is the one present on you memory card:

repeated beeps - DRAM error
repeated short beeps - Power error
Repeated high & low beeps - Processor is damaged/Overheated

1 short - System boot successfull
2 short - CMOS setting error
1 long 1 short - DRAM or M/B error
1 long 2 short - Monitor or display card error
1 long 3 short - Keyboard error
1 long 9 short - BIOS ROM error

I don't remember the speed of the repeted beeps for the award bios.
But in your case if this is not a DRAM issue, you might try to check if the beeping remain the same once the cmos battery removed (the flat batterie that looks taken out of a watch).
If so this means that it needs to be replaced.

How do you adjust the emergency brakes on a 2005 MAlibu Maxx?

On most vehicles you just apply the e-brake then disengage it repete over and over until you start to feel resistance then set the brake until it feels right and try it out. Some vehicles though you just need to roll backwards slowly then try to set the e-brake, repete until it feels right. Good luck.

Acer Aspire B300, have just had to replace on board video card as it failed, just had it picked up from repairer, and upon start up getting repetative long beep last approx 4 - 5 secs, then repeats....

You need to take it back to them. Something isn't right- could be as simple as an unplugged cable inside, but they obviously didn't have the system running correctly, or it would be now, right?

Motherboard makes several loud beeps when turned on

Is the memory the right type? It sounds like the board isn't sensing any memory. HP do often use boards that have particular memory dedicated to them. Should be DDR RAM pc3200 (unbuffered, and you can have up to 2048mb Ram Max. (2 Slots)
