Relocated washer today - now get f20 code
Ok, I found 2 solutions for this problem, I tried the first one, and it really seemed to work, but I think I will do the second one too. First, if you have metal flood safe hoses, you need to look for debris blocking the filter at both ends. I kept checking the screens at the washer end and not seeing anything, but there was debris located at the water supply end, stuck in the flood safe device that is in the metal hose. Also, Flood safe hoses say to turn the water on to full pressure, but sometimes that can activate the flood safe device, so only turn your water supply on half way. Make sure that the hoses are on right as well, the flood safe device needs to be at the end with the water supply, not the washer end. You will be able to see the device (it looks like a little sieve) inside the hose.
Another cause of this problem can be the filter IN your washer, it is located in the front just under the front bottom removable panel. If you have a pet in the house, definitely check this out, a lot of hair gets stuck in that. Just unscrew the front bottom panel, and then it is right in the middle at the bottom, a cone shaped filter. Get a towel, because there will be water in there, too. Thank-you very much. I opened the cone-shaped filter at the base of the washer and found a sock, and other small items. Sadly, the F20 error sode continues to go off. I have already checked all the hoses, especially the inlet hoses, but I have found them to be in good condition and working order. I am stumped. Your advise remains to be very helpful, though.

F20 fix for me after checking several things was the flow meter. First, check the hose make sure it's not "flood safe". Check lints inside the "inlet valves". But basically its a 50 dollar cost.
Its the error code for a long drain time most likely you need to check the filter in your pump for obstructions First if you have a wet vac pull the drain hose out of the drain spout and use the vac to pull the water out of the washer through the drain hose.If not you will need a pair of radiator hose clamps from the auto parts store. Pull the screws from the lower panel at the front of the washer and remove it.in side you will see a rubber hose coming down from the tub to the drain pump. Put the radiator hose clamp there if you didn't have a shop vac.On the front of the pump is a round part with a handle turn that and remove the pump filter .Clean any foreign objects out of the pump and look inside the pump to make sure no impeller blades are broken if any are you will have to replace the pump. put the filter back in and tighten it. If you had to use the hose clamp remove it now.reassemble and don't forget to give the tech his four boxes if this fixes it

We have a brand new kenmore washer and just stacked them according to the installation instructions. But, since stacking them, we now get a F20 code when it gets to the first spin cycle.
