Side by side Ref/Freezer

My ice dispenser is crazy.. I have replaced the solenoid (per repairclinic.com) and I still have to fight it for ice. When I push the lever there is a delay, sometimes I have to switch to water and back to ice. Usually it malfnctions when I have company and its a pain in the butt. Could it be the circuit board behind the controls or the switch that tells it that the door is closed?

I'll try, I have a touch switch not a sliding one. I'll follow up on the board. Thank you

Based on the info you just gave about moving the switch from water and back to ice, I would say the switch. It is a much cheaper part too. If you are capable, and it sounds like you are, remove what you need to to get to the switch. By-pass it by connecting the wires together. If the dispenser works instantly, that's it. If not, then you need to follow the path, probably back to the board.

The ice maker makes a loud racket unless the freezer door is open.

You have an object jammed in ice makers path. The freezer door has something on it that is pushing into the ice maker perhaps.

Walk in freezer solenoid not opening

Many Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators have an ice and water dispenser installed on the outside of the freezer door. The ice dispenser has a flap that opens to allow ice to be released, and closes after dispensing to keep the cold air inside of the freezer. The dispenser flap is opened and closed by a solenoid, that when energized pulls the plunger attached to the flap, opening the door. If the flap stops opening and closing, it is likely due to a faulty solenoid.

ED5GTQXKQ01 Whirlpool Side by Side motor not turning.

This is a complicated system to diagnose, and one not recommended by the average DIYer. I would recommend in this case to have a qualified whirlpool technician at least inspect and give you a diagnosis. Due to its complicated nature, and the difficulty in accessing all the parts needed to test, if done incorrectly, you could further damage the door, or the dispenser module.

Whirlpool GS6NBE side by side ice maker works fine but the ice dispenser doesn't. I can hear a sound and a click when I push it and the dispenser flap works but no ice will come out. Water works fine.

The four prong (flat) plug to the ice maker (in the freezer compartment) in my Whirlpool Gold SbyS Refrigerator; should I be able to test for 120 Volts with a tester, should this plug be 'HOT"?

There is a defroster built into the ice maker to melt the ice a little around the edges before dispensing on most ice makers it may need replacing.
