or connector before and cleaned with electronic contacts cleaner-
test the terminal at motor for 9VDC APROX if there are the motor is faulty, use the DMM.

1) PLEASE replace batteries by new ones. 2) clean the batteries contacts with special spray contacts cleaner 3) retight the spring contacts batteries with a pliers for better contacts very important! 4) adjust the reed switch see the diagram attached. God bless yu
Pull the batteries out let it reset itself while its doing that check all cable to make the connection are seated firmly then reinstall the batteries, unless the function pad is sending a phantom signal engaging the display to be on continuously,or by pure chance the upper electronics went hay wire
Go to FitnessRepairParts com and type in your exact model number in the search box at the top to view the parts list for that model. You may be able to find a cover there. Or you can contact support if you can't find your exact model number, they are very helpful
This is caused by a loose crank arm. The key assembly is loose. (#32 on your parts list) The covers will need to be removed to access this. Be sure the crank arms are realigned against the frame when completing the repair. Good luck, Tim
