Paper feed problem The rubber drives do not pick up the paper to start printing. I think the paper tray doesn't move high enough to make the paper to contact the rubber rollers any ideas???????? for a fix

Turn the printer off and on.Solved?
Turn the printer off and disconnect from PC.Unplug from power.Reboot the PC.
Remove the papers from the feed tray and look through the paper path for any obstructions.
Load the print papers and make sure they are correctly aligned on the feed tray.
Cear any print queues on your PC.
Connect everything now and start the PC.
Try printing.

Your printer has a misfeeding problem.
It never fed any paper so the sensor never sensed paper and thinks that there was a jam.
Try using the manual feed tray. If that works, pull out tray 2 and clean the feed roller . Is this printer
up to date on its maintenance? The feed roller might have to be replaced.

I had an issue with the cassette tray paper feed. I loaded paper in the rear tray, manually used the printer properties button to make it print from the rear tray and printed from there. The next day I manually did the same thing but forced it to print from the cassette (bottom) tray. It worked fine today. It no longer thinks that there is no paper and the rollers are picking up the paper edge for proper feeding of the paper. I did not go through the roller cleaning procedure but I would do that if switching back and forth manually between trays doesn't work.

Brand New T652n lexmark printer get a paper jam every time! just opened and haven't been able to print one paper. Doesn't matter if you print from tray one or tray two. It gets stuck right after the rollers pick it up and try to send it to the toner. Any suggestions? I've tried to reseat the toner, plain paper, sized the paper correctly, I've tried just about everything I can think of! I can feed paper manually through the top tray, and it will print. But, just using the manual tray defeats the purpose of the other two trays. Anyone else having this issue?

It could be a dirty pickup roller in printer. Found following advice from Samsung:

Printer will not feed the paper depends on following possibility.

• Paper Type:
  • If surface of the paper is too smooth, pick-up roller will not feed the paper.
  • In such case, try with different type of paper.

• Pick-up Roller:
  • If the rubber roller is worn out, it will not feed the paper from the tray. There is not enough friction to feed the paper.
  • Pull the paper tray out and clean the rubber roller.

Hello sir; It depend on where the paper got jam, if jam at the point when paper take off, then you have clean up paper pick up roller or replace it, if jam inside the machine then have to clean up paper feed roller, if jam at the end, check the paper exit senser, make sure it moving freely.

Normaly when you get this problem it means that you need to replace the feed rollers in that tray.
Inspection
Rollers: Replace the rollers when you see any of the following defects:

Flat spots

Out of roundness

Cracked rubber

Loss of traction (tackiness) causing pick or feed failures.

Clean the feed roller.
Remove the paper tray, from the bottom there is a grey rubber semi wheel in the middle front of where the paper tray would be. Use a cloth with WD-40, brake cleaner, or lighter fluid to lightly wipe the rubber clean. Put the paper tray back in and it should print.

Dear sir; That's very difficult to tell you detail how to take apart the parts, but I can teach you a easy way and tricky way, this cause you problem is paper pick-up roller, right above the paper tray. therefor you have move out the tray , remove the toner ctg. flip machine over (bottom up) then you will see the roller very clear, clean up with rubber rejuvenator, try it out, and please let me know how does it work, good luck! Its probably not picking up paper from that tray, thus the jam error. For me that is typically because the tray isn?t pushing the paper up high enough to be caught by the pickup roller or the pickup rubber band is worn.
