A few years ago we bought a Dirt Devil Carpet CPR and several bottles of the cleaning solution that goes into the sprayer. We are looking now to find additional bottles of that solution. Where can we find it?

Or just carry it into the closest Dirt Devil Service Centre and ask them to 'service it'. It is not expensive.


There are no videos showing how this is done, but the video made me smile

If the belt is over a year old replace it. Belts lose elasticity and will still spin but not clean the carpet.

they have been having alot of problems with these models. if its brand new, take it back. don't try and work on it yourself, it will void the warranty

However most cleaners you buy give you the cleaner to water ratio on the bottle. Also you do not need to use Dirt Devil cleaner. All carpet cleaning solution are pretty much the same aside from the fragrance. The best ratio that I have found is approximately 5oz of cleaner for every gallon of water. Make sure you use hot water. Using cold water or waiting to long to use the mixture can reduce the efficiency of the cleaner.

TOSS IT and forget it! I have never used a hand vac that worked that was worth the effort of turning it on .... I suggest they are all junk ... I found very few vacuum cleaners ... actually **** especially anything made by dirt devil ... I do have a bagless Bissell 6579-2 that I purchased 4 years ago at walmart for $49 ... It outperforms any vacuum I've ever used, including my worthless Shop-Vac that I paid a lot more for ... this Bissell vac SUCKS ... It could **** the barnacles from a steamship!

as it is 2018 and only march, it is not possible to have a problem with a machine not yet made
Besides the point , it is under warranty so take it to a service agent for a warranty repair

Thank you for responding to my question. I should have spent some time really looking at my little machine. It wasn't hard to figure out -once I found and read the back of the cleaning solution bottle and tried my luck following the water to cleaner ratio.. Opening, adding the cleaning solution and water and re-closing the reservoir was pretty easy. Everything worked out fine...and my carpet is...spotless. Thank you, Cmarie
