Heard a popping sound while it was running, then it quit, and showed no power. What's wrong and is it worth fixing?

A wire may have come loose causing a short and blowing a fuse. There should be a ceramic fuse on the power board. Also look for anything that crawls and has more than two legs.

My Underlight on my Frigidaire Microwave does not turn off

Hello Michael Fiedler, thank you for your post!

I understand that the light under your Frigidaire microwave will not turn off. Sounds like it could be a possible issue within the switch or receptacle. These intricate parts do require precision and patience, therefore when replacing the exchange of electrical components or removing them from your appliance, I always suggest seeking professional assistance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Heard a 'pop' and microwave quit working. We cleaned it and replaced the bulb behind the left side panel. What else can we try? We had a one yr warranty and the microwave went out in 13mos.

hello,

what you need to do to fix up your oven back to life is to unscrew it and check on the element (HEAT PROVIDER )there is disconnection on the element which you will have to fix up
the element is in silver colour

thank you

Underlights flicker while cooking.

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week.

If this continues, it can cause the lights and possibly the fan to go out and cause further damage to the control board.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
