My pc does not read my psp, how do i fix it.? do i need to install a psp driver.? where do i find such driver for free.?

Hook up your Sony PSP to your computer via a USB cable. Turn on the PSP and put it in "USB CONNECT " mode (it should display the words "USB CONNECT" on the PSP display during the entire time you're transferring files, and plug it in if you don't have a fully charged battery).

Downloading music on to a sony psp

1. Connect your PSP to your PC via the USB cable.
2. On your PSP's menu, go all the way left into the Settings menu.
3. Scroll up to the USB Connection menu and click X
4. Your PC should recognize your PSP. You can then access your PSP's installed memory stick just as you would any other drive. Let's say, for example, your PSP is now drive G:\ on your Computer. On your PC, click into drive G:
5. Click into the PSP Folder. If this folder does not exist, you can create it by clicking File --> New --> Folder
6. Click into the MUSIC Folder. If this folder does not exist, you can create it by clicking File --> New --> Folder

==> Here you can drap and drop [or copy and paste] all of your MP3 or WMA files and they should appear on the PSP's music menu.

I HAVE 2004 SILVER PSP CFW 5.50. HOW DO I PLAY DOWNLOADED GAMES ON IT. WHAT SOFTWARE TO INSTALL AND HOW?

Hi. First, you have to format your memory card so that the required folders will be automatically created.

On your PSP, go to Settings>>System Settings>>Format Memory Stick. Select YES when asked if you really want to format your memory stick. Wait for a few seconds & once prompted that it's done, you can now grab your USB cable and plug your PSP to a computer.

Go to Settings>>USB Connection. Your computer will detect the memory stick as an external drive. Once connected, navigate to your PSP's memory card directory via Windows Explorer. You should see an "ISO" folder. Open this and copy your downloaded games here (.iso or .cso file).

Safely remove the USB connection once done. Navigate to your "Games" on the PSP and the copied game will appear.

Hope this helps.

Usb cable

Just like sorta of add-on to szwaan's answer:

You must have a memory stick to put music into your psp such as mp3 files, the psp itself does not have any internal memory for you to store any music files whatsoever.

if you got a memory stick already, connect your psp to your computer via usb cable, select usb under the setting section of your psp, and the memory stick drive will appear in your "my computer", so you can drag your music into the Music folder of your memory stick and play them from your psp.
