Here are the formulas for conversion.
Let T_C be the temperature on the Celsius scale and T_F the temperature on the Fahrenheit scale.
0 _C correspond to 32 _F
100 _C correspond to 212 _F

Generally

  1. T_C =(5/9)*(T_F -32) ; for T_F=212 _F , T_C = 5/9*(180)= 100 _C
  2. T_F= (9/5)T_C + 32 ; for T_C=100_C, T_F = (9/5)*100+32 = 212_F
Problem for you : Find the temperature which has the same value on both scales.

Convert decimal

It means "six point one times ten to the minus four" or 0.00061 .

Read the "E" as "times ten to the". The calculator switches to scientific notation when the number is too small or too large to display using the current display mode.

How do i figure out wat 9+-4=

The exact keystroke sequence would depend on the make and model of the calculator. On most algebraic or chain-logic calculators, it would be something like [9] [+] [+/-] [4] [=].

[+/-] may be marked [CHS] or have a plus and minus signs with arrows between them. [=] may be marked [ENTER] or [EXE].

On an RPN or RPL calculator, it would be [9] [ENTER] [4] [CHS] [+].

If you still have difficulties, please reply to this post, mentioning the make and model of your calculator.

How do you enter the "plus or minus" sign into the y= of a ti-84

The calculator cannot handle "plus or minus" in the same equation. If you need both, enter two equations into y=, one for plus and the other for minus.

How do you use a plus or minus sign on a TI-84

Hi,
You cannot use the ± in the definition of a function. If you need to consider two alternatives, you have draw each function separately, one function as Y1 and the other as Y2. I just checked the catalog of commands, and there is no ±.

Hope it helps.

Graphing

Hi, you can try uninstalling the transformation app in your calculator. This does not really uninstall your application, it only prevents it from interfering with it. You should be able to graph multiple functions after that.

1) Go to APPS
2) Press Transfrm
3) Click Uninstall

try changing the back up battery also. This generally helps. The next time you change your batteries, change them one at a time. don't take them all out at once. This won't happen if you do it like that.
