sorry to say you have a very expensive to repair problem ): the transmission has a brake built into which is suppose to hold the tub in place during the agitation cycle and then release on the spin cycle to spin. the brake isnt engaging and the only fix is to replace the transmisson which is very expensive. it may work for awhile then as it gets worse and the tub moves more during the wash cycle water will slosch out of it all over the floor, sorry to break the bad new
does the unit agitate?
is it does and it will not spin then the transmission is bad.
if the unit does not spin or agitate then check the belt.all assuming that the motor is running.
You found a belt? Most w/p washer do not have a belt they are direct drive. take off the pump and motor to replace the motor coupling, 2 plastic pieces w/ a rubber in between
remove the agitator and inspect the main shaft on the gear box.and
check the belt underneath.if the shaft is bend you will need a new
gearbox. hope this helps.
On some models, the drive motor is universal meaning the drive turns clockwise in wash mode and turns counter clockwise in spin mode.
Possibly the motor windings is defective for the wash mode and thus the entire drive motor will require replacing.
Hope this helps..
