The security code can be reset to factor defualt by pressing and holding the rest button for 5 seconds on the back of the router and waiting for the lights to stop flashing. password will reset to Admin.
Well, first off its 192.168.0.1 (unless you changed it manually). You will need to go to http://192.168.0.1/ and enter your password. Then, once you have entered your password, you can roam around in your modem's configuration profile.
If you want to use the linksys, you need to connect the cable from the modem to the linksys, then use another cable to connect the computer to the linksys. If it does not work, call linksys technical support, if they cannot help try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com
Power down the linksys and on the back is a reset button push it. The ones i have installed dont need a pass word or key,if it is asking you try the info you used from your internet provider ( e-mail address or access #s)Also try skipping this step and see if it will let you go on to the next part,Lynksys advisor has major issuses with it I dumped it from all the pcs I installed.
coupple of things you can try 1... on the new pc go to the start and connected to then serch for wireless connections once you connect it will ask you for your password if you set up your router to do so ... 2... make sure you have your wireless connection turned on on your new comp through your network and sharing let me know thx...
I'm not sure anyone has any kind of password cracker yet for those routers, but if you don't mind losing all the settings on the router, routers can be usually be reset by pressing a button somewhere on it. You probably have to hold it down for a certain amount of time. (sometimes you have to power it on or off with the button pressed) I'd search for your router's model number on the internet to see if anyone has any other solutions.
I have same problem i had my own password but i forgot it and i cant log my network tools with out it and i need help to make new one can anyone help me please
