The Sansa Clip's internal rechargable battery is not user replaceable. However, if it fails within the warranty period (one year), the device can be replaced.Clip's battery is not easily replaceable however if it fails within the warranty period (one year), SanDisk will replace the device.

Hey....unfortunatley manufacturers of small devices like these have specially designed/manufactured batteries to fit the specs of the design of the unit it is possible to replace the battery but to get a new battery will be the biggest challenge it will be a Li-Ion battery (lithium I-ON) which have a limited life as they are only designed for a few thousand charge cycles....sorry i couldn't lend to much support but i wonder if this could be the battery that your after...
