Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Sound Card: I had bought new creative 4.1 inspire m4500 but in...

Greetings,

It looks to me that the some of the options might be disabled in the sound properties menu.

Double click on the sound icon present on the left hand side of the side bar. Once the volume menu opens up, then click on the 'Options' menu ---------> Select Properties ---------> Once the Property Menu opens up. Look for the options Rear', 'Subwofer', 'Side', 'Front'.
Ensure all these options are selected. Click 'Ok' tab and close the box.

This should resolve your issue.

Please feel free to reply in case you face problem.

Have a nice day !

What's the best sound card?

Sound Blaster is certainly a good name when it comes to sound cards, they've been around forever. If you're looking for quality audio and full use of your 5.1 speakers, SB live 5.1 will do the trick.

I had bought new creative inspire m4500 but instead of four only

I found the solution to my own problem.

(First install the software that is provided in the form of a CD with your SoundBlaster. I had to buy a 5.1VX Creative Sound Blaster for my Creative Inspire M4500 4.1 speakers.)

Go to the folder ‘Creative’ which you may find in your Program Files.
Then double click on the following one after the other:
Creative
SB5.1VX
Surround Mixer
SurMixer (SurMixer.exe)

Now go to EAX.
Select CMSS 3D.
Check on the box ‘Enable CMSS 3D Surround.’
Select ‘Stereo Surround.’

Hope your problem is solved now:))
