Elect Oven Viking - does not cycle temperature

The Top wall-oven (Viking VEDO205-ss)does not temperature cycle (intermedant problem)..when malfunctioning, the oven will reach temp then slowly cool to around the 200 degree range, wich I assume is the heat sink. The lower oven works OK. Any thoughts on where I should start looking...I have replace the coil and both thermostats.

Replacing lower oven element in a Viking VEDO205. Have the part. With the oven off does the power need to be killed at the utility panel or are the two leads unpowered with the oven off. Thanks,

The wiring should be safe with the oven off, but it is always better to be 100% sure and turn the power off at the switchboard.

The oven will not get hot on the self-clean option, but it will get hot when just using the regular oven

Elements in top oven won't heat. light comes on and so does the convection fan but elements won't heat

More than likely requires a new element to be fitted.

I did the self clean on the upper oven. When the stopped cleaning it cooled down, but the door will not open. (Unlock)

Are there fuses in an Eaton Viking wall oven? We replaced the bottom oven element but it isn't working. The element was tested and is okay. There is power (the oven light works) but the top control panel...

you have lost one leg of input power that gives you 240 volts check both legs for 120 volts each for a total of 240 volts

you need to have a new thermostat fitted or the old one re callibrated if possible

timer and clock not working on Viking double wall ovens - caused by steam from oven Used the top oven to roast mushrooms a couple of weeks ago. Steam poured out of the oven and the analog clock display showed moisture under the glass. None of those controls have worked since. Called Viking and after being shunted to 5 different service centers was told to turn off the circuit breaker to reset. Didn't work. I have had the ovens for 14 months - used them no more than 10-12 times (thanksgiving, xmas, bake a birthday cake). Out of warranty and Viking will not honor. I am sad and mad! Any advice? BTW no moisture showing now but obviously no seal or seal broken.
