Hi,
Sounds like an OS( operating system prob ), get into the bios set up and set the boot sequence to D:( dvd/cd rom ) first and save it upon exit.
Put the Win7 or any operating system that you use and let it run, read the instructions carefully.
Hope that helps!

Hi Sue.

Remove the power cord from the back and then take out the motherboard battery for half an hour (you need to remove the side panel from the case to access the motherboard) after the half hour is up pop the battery back in and connect the power cord, see if that resolves the problem.
The fact that you can hear 1 beep indicates that all is fine so I doubt you have fried the BIOS chip.
Also, if you have a stand alone graphics card installed remove that and clean the contacts, then reinsert it.

Plesae post back if you have more problems.

Good luck.

Pc can't boot up , no display , hdd led is constatly lighted

Check CMOS battery(Coin shaped battery), it should show 2.5-3V, if not then replace and check, you can even try and test the mbd without the CMOS battery. Some mbd does not boot with a faulty CMOS battery.

Windows Installation gives blue screen errors.

Hi, at the boot up go into your bios [ on MSI press the delte key continuosly] and turn OFF the onboard virus protection. This can block all O/S from loading as they need to write to the bios in the installation process. Ensure you turn it back on after installation, it is there to stop hackers getting into your bios and wrecking your system. Regards mistyman
