Question about NEC Electra Professional ETW-16DC-2

Internal intercom when i try to call my co-workers extension it sounds busy but none of the phone lines are on, how can i take that off?

If the person you are trying to reach is speaking to another internal extension, none of the outside lines will show in use. If their phone is not Call-Forwarded to any other extension (i.e. second extension or VM), you will get a busy.

Easy settings to reset nothing you should have to call a phone admin for =)
To reset the Internal Autodial buttons (speak to co worker with push of a button) Press Feature * 2, press the button you would like to assign, then the extension (intercom number) of the person you would like that button to dial. That should fix the autodial buttons (the ones you label with names)
To reset the night mode button: Feature * 3 will bring up button programming, then choose the button you want for night mode, then press Feature, then 871 and that should fix your night button.

How do I send a call to internal voice mail?

Use feature 986 (transfer to VM) then enter in the co-workers extension number. That will bypass the extension and send the caller directly to his voicemail.

To program a key for an appearence of an extension, press feature 00, press the key you want to program the extension number to, then press the right intercom and the extension number. press 00 when finished

I have a kx-ta624..one of my extensions was programmed to co1 and now I want to program it to co3... how do I do this?

It's been a few years since I programmed a 624, but here goes.

IIRC the 624 selects lines in 1,2,3 order vs. the 824's 321. Dial "9" from the intercom and you can verify this.

The system has 3 modes of operation when it comes to outside line access, No preference (gives you intercom dial tone) Idle line preference (gives you the same as if you dialed "9", and specific line preference.

From the phone, do not pick up the handset but press PROGRAM or use the set switch to program, dial 1 1 for none, 1 2 for idle, or 1 3 x for a specific line. Any of those commands would be followed by STORE.

Put the system back in SET or press the PROGRAM button to exit.

With any line preferenc, you have to press Intercom to dial internally or page. If your specific line is busy, you won't get anything when you pick up the phone or press SP PHONE. It also disables Last Number redial if the line is busy.

Did I mention that I don't use it :-) Of course, I don't use the 624 either.

I bught a kx-ta824, I just have one CO line and i want to put 4 extensions , but i couldn't. I can just recive 1 call and then the line sounds busy.

With one CO line you can only make or receive one external call at a time. You can have extensions connected on intercom calls, but once your CO line is in use, anyone calling in will get a busy signal, as will anyone in the office trying to make an outside call. You'll need additional CO lines if you want to have several outside calls going on at once.

My M7310 keeps calling another internal extension, and it wont' stop.

I think an autodial button for that co-worker may be stuck, try jiggling the autodial buttons to unstick it.

if you go to the phone where the problem press intercom#621 then press the # key then press 1 to erace everything on the screen the press speaker or hangup.
