My Samsung CLX3160 prints very faintly (colour & b/w)

Try to do some cleaning and alignment. You can access that by going to your printing preferences and clicking on the maintennance tab. Or, pull up the document that you want to print. Click File, then click print. Click on Printing Preferences and click on the Maintennance tab. The tab would have different levels of cleaning.

The pumping mechanism to pump the toner from the cartridge into the black developer unit has malfunctioned or toner has solidified from going over 35~c forming a plug which is stopping toner from being pumped. the drum unit needs to be disassembled and examined.

This is a very common problem with the Samsung CLP 300 and CLX 3160 printers. What happens is that the toner or developer blades become coated with toner. The developer blades meter the amount of toner that the printer uses to make the image on the paper. When the blade become blocked, the image become faint. To fix this problem, you and either replace the imaging unit for about $100 or you can clean the blades yourself. I have posted instructions how to clean them on my Tips section.

you need to perform a head clean, you should be able to perform this from the printer tools / maintainance

When printing, as thepaper is being transported up the printer, try pressing the right door panel of the printer firmly with your hand. If the colours are much improved then the printer requires a new Transfer roller.
1. Open the Right Door.
2. Remove the Transfer Roller while opening the shaft holder (white color) levers found at the left and right shaft ends of the Transfer Roller to unlock it. Lift out the roller.

dear sir you should check the colour mixing detect sensor

solutions :
Try changing consumables, if near emty or maybe with defect.
If it does't help, there may be problem with cleaning system, then you have to call for service.
