Question about Washing Machines

Simpson Aquarius washing machine 7kg: water

Simpson Aquarius washing machine 7kg: water overflowing from the sink on drain and spin cycles. Drainage hose from the washing machine goes straight to the drain under the sink. We have added 3x draino to sink and taken off the U- Tube - no blockage. If you turn the washing machine off during the drain and spin cycle the water (dirty) goes back into the washing machine. Q: Washing machine or plumbing?

First a washing machine needs to drain into an open site drain with an air gap not directley into the drain tube under a sink. second you probably have issues with the drain line down stream of the sink. Third after looking you model up on the web you would be better off to get rid of that machine and subscribe to consumer reports and buy a better working model machine and have it professionaly installed by a licensed & bonded plumbing company.

Hi Erin just read your post,I have worked on these machines alot. Now I need you to manually drain the machine of all the water. Once drained i want you to select drain and spin cycle. Now push the start button,do you hear the pump working? If you do stop the machine and select normal cycle on small water level and push the start button. The machine will then fill.Once it stops filling stop the machine and select drain an spin cycle.Does the machine pump out? Now if you do not hear the pump, could be the pump is faulty or jammed.Does the water flow very fast when you lower it to the floor? Please reply with answers to these questions and I will try my best to help you.

Kitchen sink hole fills up with water when using the washing machein

After washing cycle all the water flows immediately from tub to drain pipe. If the flow capacity of sink is slow sink hole fill up with water .
Connect washing machine drain to proper place for drainage.

The water drains too fast and overflows

Any washer cannot drain too fast, the problem is in your drainage pipework, there is likely to be a partial blockage or restriction of some kind, it means rodding the pies, or taking it apart to clean it.

When the wash is finished it doesnt drain the

Make sure that there is no blockage in the drain hose and that it is not kinked. Is the drain hose installed correctly? If you have connected your machine to a sink waste system, make sure that you have cut out the membrane from the under sink drainage system.
Ensure that the drainage system, standpipe or under sink connection is free from any blockage. - If any of the above are found to be the cause of your problem you will need to run the machine through a spin only programme. If you have chosen ‘Rinse Hold’, the light will flash until you press the ‘Rinse Hold’ button to continue the programme.
