It would have double solenoid where water enters fridge at the back. Possible screen is pluged inside the solenoid. Possible one solenoid is burned out. Sometimes the water entering to ice maker would freeze inside the tube and stop water from filling ice maker. Check those things for now. Another thing to ckeck to make sure nobody pulled the icemaker arm up to stop icemaker

Whirlpool Gold refrigerator water leaking

If it's flooding, it's NOT the drain pan. It's probably the water valve has gotten stuck in the open position. Hope this helps!

have you tried replacing the filter or maybe you could thaw it out, the ice maker part. get ahold of whirlpool and ask. they can offer suggestions before a repairman comes out.

Under the right side of the fridge in the back there is a dual valve for water and ice. Try changing it out, most likely the ice side is not working. Make sure you unplug the unit first
