Motor does not stop running

Everytime I close my undercounter kitchenaid dishwasher, the motor runs. This happens when a cycle is not running. It also occurs when a cycle has finished.

Kitchenaid KDPM604KPS dishwasher stops minutes into cycle

I couldn’t find any error code 2H but I did find an error code H2O. This code means insufficient water pressure. If the display reads 2H, it usually means the start delay function is turned on. The dishwasher will turn on in 2 hours if door is closed. This dishwasher is advanced. To understand all operations you should read the user guide or manual.

Dishwasher took 3 hours to complete cycle

If you have set the unit to heated water or your hot water is not hot will delay the wash cycle. The heater in the dishwasher is very slow!
The following is from the user manual.

TROUBLESHOOTING
First try the solutions suggested here and possibly avoid
the cost of a service call...
Dishwasher is not operating properly
Dishwasher does not run or stops during a cycle
Is the door closed tightly and latched?
Is the right cycle selected? Refer to the "Cycle Selection
Charts."
Is there power to the dishwasher? Has a household fuse
blown or circuit breaker tripped?
Has the motor stopped due to an overload? The motor
automatically resets itself within a few minutes. If it does not
restart, call for service.
Is the water shut-off valve (if installed) turned on?
Dishwasher will not fill
Is the overfill protection float able to move up and down
freely? Press down to release.
Dishwasher seems to run too long
Is the water supplied to the dishwasher hot enough? The
dishwasher runs longer while heating water. Refer to the
"Dishwasher Efficiency Tips" section.
A delay automatically occurs in some wash and rinse cycles
until the water reaches the proper temperatur

Hope this helps?

How do I reset my KitchenAid Model KUDS35FXSS1

The unit normally has a 1:20 to 1:30 fill cycle with pauses in between while the wash motor starts and stops without running a diagnostic mode this normally happens when the control outputs power to the wash pump motor but the pump doesn't start

Dishwasher motor starts and stops

Hey Bill,
Not professing to be any kind of a dishwasher repairman but I have had a similar issue with the start and stop thing and it turned out to be the timer motor had started to go, and in going it 'burned' a couple of sets of the contacts as well. Check with a local appliance repair centre and see first if they agree with me, and if they have anyone who can rebuild the timer - Typically not too hard to get access to and remove - In my case in Canada, it had to go to Toronto pre-paid but $70 was cheaper then a new dishwasher and it's worked great for years

I have a frigidaire dishwasher (1200 series) that is only 2 years old. I is not cleaning well and the motor continues to run even after the wash and dry cycles are done. The motor will stop when the door...

Hi,
That sounds like a sensor and/or control board issue...

The board has gone wacky and is not running the cycles correctly.

First thing I would do is to get a new board in there and see what happens..

My dishwasher starts fills water and never starts wash cycle?

If you hear a hum when it should be washing, the motor has seized. Replace motor. If it fills with water and stops quite, run it through a test using the tech sheet under the bottom panel to access. These dishwasher have had issues with the motor.

Washer will not start. Lights come on, but nothing else happens.

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, SHU6805UC/U06, During a cycle it was interrupted by opening the door. It was left open for an hour. When the door was closed again the lights came on but the cycle did not continue. The motor did run but no water was rushing. Power interrupted to the machine did not enable it to reset or restart. How do we get it going again?

Loud Squeal: Clean and Rinse Cycles

Just on a whim i would say the bearings in the motor are worn.Any leaks? It's also possible that some broken glass went through the screen and into the pump motor if any glass has been broken.

GE Dishwasher not working...

Sounds like you have a one of four possible issues. More info to diagnose would be helpful. (age, which mid cycle) If the motor runs when you turn the timer dial than it is a belt/motor pump issue. If the motor does not run than a bad motor start switch or the water level switch. More than likely the motor/pump assembly as this is usually the problem on these models. If newer check with whirlpool the manufacturer to see if it is covered by warranty.
