Question about Heating & Cooling
I have a lux electric thermostat my furnace will blow out heat for about one hour to maybe three then it will start blowing cooler air,I then cut it off for thirty seconds or longer once I do that it will start blowing out heat again then it will repeat it self again what could be the problem.

If you have a heat pump that produces heat for a while and then cold for a while and then back to heat without resetting anything, then your problem is most likely in the defrost mode.
When your heat pump goes into defrost mode, it essentially switched the heat pump from heating to air conditioning to melt any ice accumulation on the heat pump itself. To compensate the cool air, you electric heat strips come on and make the air more of a room temperature.
Be sure that your heat strips come on during the defrost mode. And keep in mind that a heat pump will not produce an extreme amount of heat.
