My volume doesnt work on my magnavox tv - Panasonic PT-47WX49 47" Rear Projection Television

There are a number of different codes for each TV, pick the one that works best for example these are for magnavox, but since I don't know the model no of your remote they might not be correct for yours! 0441, 0442, 0447, 0599, 0799, 0699, 0247, 0193, 0093, 0598

The volume control logic circuit inside the TV [circuit board] is faulty. Contact any experienced service technician. This is not a user repairable fault.

Check the converter box. Many have a volume setting that is usually set very low at the factory. On the remote control for the converter check to see if there are volume buttons. If so, change the converter box volume higher, to a level that makes the TV audio level "normal", then use the volume control on the TV for adjustment as you watch. If you set the volume on the converter box too high, you may get some distortion in the audio from your TV. So adjust the converter box to find the proper output from your TV without distortion.

dont put in back the vertical prossesor ic get a new one and solder it in see what it does.good luck.

Press the Vol up and down buttons on tv until it turns off than turn the tv on just like the photo.

Unfortunately, this model does not have a volume equalizer other than volume + and - . There are other models of Magnavox that have Night mode, Delta Volume, and other sound control features, but this one just doesn't have those features. Sorry.

My wife somehow put our Magnavox TV into demo mode too...

Plug in the set. With the set ON. Press the volume up (+) AND volume down (-) at the same time.

This worked to get it out of demo mode!

If the channel and volume visual display was not set up on the menu to display on screen , neither will show up even if either the remote or set front button are used. Make sure that the tv button is selected on the remote to access the menu .If that does not work ,then either the batteries are dead or the remote is dead.If it is you will need a new remote,sadly. Then you can press the m button , select sound and then select "display volume" and check "during adjustment". The channel display settings are found on "features" from the main menu. Hope this helps.
