It could be your headphones or the headphone jack on your mp3 is dirty or messed up try to clean out the inside of it to see if that hellps also try using a seperate set of headphones to see if it plays

I bought the fmtd8 scosche transmitter. If you're like me ,you tried to play music from you're cell phone first. That worked just fine. Then I made an sd card with a few hundred songs on it. P.S. I left the audio cable plugged in the the transmitter. The sd card with mp3. songs would not play for anything. After 2 days of trying,I finally decided to unplug the audio cable.. Voila!!!!! Instant sound.
Get the mobile to service center, no other way. My friends mobile speaker also stopped working, on giving to service center they repaired in just few minutes. May be some loose connection inside it.
