Turn off the unit for 15 mins.
Turn back on with eveything connected except the antenna.
You will get an er 09 on the display.
Press OK on the remote.
With a bit of luck the box will reboot into standby.
Connect antenna and see how you get on.

Solved this problem by buying a new adaptor, but dont phone Sagem cos they only take credit cards, will not take debit cards, they wont even take a cheque, I dont have a credit card only debit !! and they are very unhelpful. I used a 12v adaptor and it is working perfectly now.

Shows ER07 ER09 ER 01 Scrolls through 01 etc. and eventually shows ER09 SAGEM Model DVR 6200T/6400T

I had a very similar problem. On initially starting up it showed Pb03 then would cycle between er07 er09, er01 and counting up 00,01 up to 19 or so.
Nothing I did fixed it including turning it off for a long period and back on without the aerial.

Eventually I fixed it by pulling out the power cable while it was counting up and then on powering back up it started to initialise correctly. No idea what the problem was and why this fixed it but it might be worth a go. It didn't involve losing any recordings.

After accepting a download of software on 09/11/09 my SAGEM HDD type DVR 6200T is just sitting with a blank screen on the TV and P603 flashing on the display. Hopw can I reset the system?

Although the Sagem PVR 6200 and 6200t are not specifically listed as models which have been known to have problems with the recent Freeview retune they are very closely related to the 6280/6240 models which are known to have issues and share most of the same firmware and software.

See the address below for a chart of affected models although it's proven not to be a comprehensive list, you'll need to contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 to find out how to resolve this issue..

Sorry I can't provide you with a definite solution but it's very likely that your model is one of those which only Sagem can sort out.

DVR6280GL-UK. Flashes er07 and er09 after attempt to reset. What do I do to fix it?

The Sagem PVR 6280 is specifically listed as a model which will have problems with the retune.

See the address below for a chart of affected models, but the official advice is that you must contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 for either an over the air update or an update DVD depending upon the manufacturer.

Hi I had the same problem P603, er07 and er09, solved it by buying a 12v adaptor, you dont have to use sagem, in fact they are not very helpful, they will only take credit cards and it will cost you £15.00, any 12v adaptor will do. Mine is working perfectly now

Error codes er o7, er o9

Had exactly the same problem during Oct 09. Spoke with SAGEM all sorts of solutions no joy. Spoke to currys and tried a new power source and it works fine. Ordered a new source via SAGEM approx £15 and now have a working box. Saved having to buy a replacement and all my recordings are still in tact.

Error code 09

Er00 - The software that was available for upgrading was of an older or of the same version as the one already in the digital-box.

Er01, Er02 -The upgrade failed. Some information was missed out.

Er03 - The internal memory is not large enough to receive the upgrade.

Er04 - The signal was disturbed during the upgrade.

Er05 - Wrong type of data was received during upgrade.

Er06 - Not used.

Er07 - Access problem in back-up memory (EEPROM).

Er08 - Access problem in video memory.

Er09 - Can not find any data to do an upgrade.

Er10 - Poor or no cable-TV signal.

Er11,12 - Not used.

Er13 - Unauthorised data signals received by the digital-box.

Er14 - Faulty data signals received by the digital-box.

Pb01 - A problem in the ROM memory is detected.

Pb02 - Memory size is too small.

Pb03 - A problem occurred during start up (initialisation
problem).

Pb04 - Internal communication failure.

PbF9 - Hardware error identified during start-up

From elsewhere on the web:
"
1. Turn off the unit for 15 minutes to cause a full reset.
2. Turn on the PVR with everything attached except the antenna input.
3. You will get an Er09 on the display. On my PVR there was no output on the TV screen whatsoever (totally black screen).
4. Press 'OK' on the remote (confusing as there is no clue that this is what you should be doing, though Sagem support thought that the PVR should prompt you.
5. The box reboots in standby mode."

Good Luck...
I also see some mention that if the above procedure doesn't work, try pressing "Menu" twice to see if that clears error 09.
