I purchased an lg gr500 second hand, i put my sim card in there and now its asking for security code, please help...

First, you must asking to your brother girlfriend what is the LG Xenon GR500 original sim card network , then you can decide to use LG Xenon GR500 unlock code in apropriate network. You can get lg unlock code by calling the original network phone provider, but the only person that can do that things is your girlfriend brother. your SIM card is VOID meaning it does not work any longer. That means you must contact your service provider, and they will have to send you a new SIM card. This happened to me once before, and it was a pain. :-( Anyways I did'nt get charged for the new SIM card though.

- Dial "3845#*500#" (you will then be in the engineering menu)


then reset phone

if tmoible uses sim card the it should work. but only for txting and calling, the camera will work to but thats just about it

Try removing the battery and then the SIM after the phone has been powered on. If it still gives you an error, your SIM may be bad. Try swapping SIMs with a friend on the same network to test. If the SIM is bad, or the phone still doesn't work, call your provider to find a local repair facility for the phone.
