Some PDF's print and others do not. I'll get the spooler crash error message and all my printers will be gone. then I have to delete everything from windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS folder and restart the spooler (net start spooler)... any solutions? It seems random.
Installing new drivers dind't help. But what I did is I checked print as an image from within pring options in Adobe Acrobat (you gotta go to "advanced" to find that check box), and then it worked.
I had the exact same problem and I solved it by uninstalling Adobe Acrobat and installing Foxit. No more problem!
Had the problem for a few days.
I solved it by downloading the latest HP drivers from hp (that goes without saying)
Installing these on my print server, replacing the existing drivers.
and disabling bidirectional printing.
This is working in my office now.
Make sure you re-boot your computer once in a while, say once a week, if you leave it on all the time or use standby. Not doing so can leave the computer vulnerable to all kinds of weird things like this.
Hope this helps.
A computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 intermittently cannot use a shared network printer to print. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2388142 Click on link to view topic or download hotfix from Microsoft.
Hi,
Everone try installing the alsrjet 6l drivers which are bulit in operating system.
An office I support has lots of these and over the course of time every pc has had this issue.
The only solution I've found was to delete the printer, reinstall it, use the 1022nw drivers and uncheck advanced printing features once installed.

PC is rebooted daily, so I'm not sure what's up. Is it a driver issue? The printer supports PCL so I'm at a loss.
Same problem. The rebooting solution is a 1st grade answer. There is a real problem here with this printer. I have been able to replicate this problem on every pc on our network with this printer and have narrowed it down to pdf's that are scanned documents cause the print spooler to lock up. The file size the driver sends to the printer is massive, even if the file is 1mb, the file in the spooler queue shows 50 to 100mb.
This is a problem with multiple versions of the drivers from HP also. Restarting the computer after having the spooler fixed and send the document back to the printer and it immediately locks again.
Same problem! Continues to come back. Related to printing PDFs, but once it errors... it is hell to get rid of

Il have the same error on LJ1022nw. And some random PDFs
