You can download the software package from the HP website to enable yourself to install the printer on your computer without the CD.

For Windows XP click here:

For Windows Vista click here:
For Windows 7 click here:
  1. For Windows XP download the file by clicking "Download Only".
  2. Save the file on your computer.
  3. After the download is finished double-click the file to start the installer.
  4. Follow the installer instructions to complete the installation.

For Windows Vista and Windows 7 follow the instructions given on the page to install your printer.

If your printer connects to your PC with a USB cable, there is a specific sequence. Some setup programs want the USB cable connected after the driver is installed, others want it connected first. Try reinstalling the driver and pay close attention to the setup instructions.
