My Sony CDX-GT520 receiver has suddenly lost its ability to move from one track to the next. When it reaches the end of the track, it simply goes back to the beginning of the same track. Anything I can do about this? Any suggestions for where to get it fixed (Asheville, NC area) ?

Sounds like you have the cd on repeat. there should be a button marked "rep" press it. you may have to press a few times if it also has file repeat.

No sub signal from a CDX GT520.

connect the speake(sub) directly to the stereo(just use one of the rear 6x9 speaker wire to test the sub and make sure it's not the amp. if it does not work, it's the sub

Can you use a cdx7005x face plate on a cdx gt520 body

You generally cannot interchange headunits and faceplates, they often speak different "languages".
The reason yours lights up when down means the power pins are in similar positions but the other pins don't necessarily correspond.

Hi,

To remove the ad demo just press and hold the volume knob for a few seconds until the secondary menu appears.
Press the knob repeatedly to get to the "DEMO" item. Turn the knob to change from ON to OFF.
Press and hold the knob for a few seconds to exit the menus.
