The signal loss along with channel 4 is the only thing on TV screen. The other TV is fine. Checked connections all seem to be fine.

Are you connecting TV receiver box (example: DirecTV receiver); or what is the source? What TV are you using - a new flatscreen / HD or an old big TV? AN old TV - tube type? You have to get to the right input and sometimes it can be blocked by a Vchip parental wring selection.

Computer display is too big for screen

You need to turn off OVERSCAN in your computer display controls. This will reduce the picture size by 5 to 10% and allow access to the edges. Expect there may be an edge around the screen with nothing in it. Overscan was introduce in TVs to use the whole tube. It is not needed in digital displays. -Ken

Resolution problems/ Game problems

Well it might be becuase your ps3 is european. Im no expert on the matter, but when i bought an hdmi cable and hooked it up to my hd compatible tv, i switched to the hd input (which happened to be input4 on my tv) and a message popped up saying that the ps3 has detected hd output, would you like to change settings? and it did it automatically after i hit yes.

Says unusable signal when trying to hookup my Nintendo 64.

Here are a couple of things to try. Go into the menu and make sure that you have the "ANTENNA" selected instead of "CABLE". Also make sure that the channel that you are using (3 or 4) is programmed into the memory of the tv. If not, use "auto program" in the menu to program the channels.

These newer tv's are not the same as older tv's. If none of that works, put a antenna amp on the output of the nintendo and then plug it into the tv. This should fix it.

Is the playstation burned out?

Did your cousin ever connect it to an HD tv? If he did, this is a common problem with it. If you operate the PS3 with a normal television set, the ps3 will work fine. But when you connect it to an HD tv and hook up the HDMI cables, the ps3 sets itself to work with HD tv's only. There is a simple fix. a Hard Reset. Call sony customer suuport and tell them that your ps3 doesn't have a menu screen. They will walk you through the steps to restore your system. I would tell what to do myself if I remembered what to do. But regardless, remember this, every time you connect it to an HD tv and want to switch back to a normal tv set, you will have to hard reset the system. Try to remember the sequence the first time so that any other time this happens you'll know what to do.

My high definiton is working great and everything is fine except one major thing, which is that there is no sound at all. I would like to know how i might fix this problem.

Good Day, timerwer;

HD is fine but no audio! Not knowing that if you ever had sound, have surround system, hooked to an input or RF, I would suspect that you only have the Green, Blue, and Red cables hooked to your TV and the Audio cables ( red - white ).
If you do; unplug TV (reset, reboot) from A/C outlet for 3 to 5 minutes. If still no work try these suggestions:
1. Make sure the TV's internal speakers are turned 'ON'.
2. Make sure the "BOX" ( cable, sat, u-verse) volume is turned up all the way up.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
