to no if you have wireless connection go control panel on your computer then find network and internet look for wireless connection click on it

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service and yourlaptop has a wireless card then you can also connect to the Internet at WiFihot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access theInternet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to checkthe service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to checkwith the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and thecost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed themonthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider,their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installationCD.

no you dont you have wireless capability on your laptop. just turn on your wireless, click on it and it will show you all internet connections just click on your router name and it will connect. same when your away hotel will tell you their router name or (ssid) as its called.

yes it can.

go to control panel >> double click on network connections >> right click on wireless network connection and click view available wireless network. then click on your network name and connect wirelessly.

Either the card is turned off, usually there is a switch on the outside to turn it on, or it is turned off under network, check both places, if this is working and your router is not working you will get a message that no network has been found, can't find a signal.

Hit this and you can download a manual from here at the Bottom of Page. it is for a certain machine but it runs the Board you are looking for.

The procedure is 1st. to connect the LAN cable to the router (not to the LAN port marked WAN) and use the browser to configure the Belkin router for the wireless settings.
In the wireless setup change the SSID from the default SSID to what you like., set up encryption (if your wireless card supports WAP then use WAP encryption, if not use WEP 128bit)
Also change the administrator password (write it down and put it in a safe place).
you can disconnect the LAN cable from the computer and router.
If you had not installed the wireless driver for you wireless card, do so now.
Connect the LAN cable to the WAN port on the router and the other end to the Hughesnet.
Now configure the wireless card with the SSID and the encryption that was set on the router.
If all goes well you should see your router and get on to the Internet.

The empty slot is for a mini-PC card, usually a wireless network card. The 2 wires are actually the antenna wires that connect to the wireless card. The dim LCD may be a problem with the LCD panel display, video controller or motherboard. Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor by connecting to the Video Connector located on the back of the laptop. If the display on the external monitor appears to be normal, then your LCD display panel on the laptop has a problem. If the display on the external monitor is dim then you probably have a bad video controller card or motherboard.

maybe the place that you are using your internet in doesn't have internet, I mean people near you are using normal connections.
