If the hum sound is coming from the bottom panel then it is the moto that has gone bad and needs replacement. However, if you hear the sound from the control then it can be due to a bad relay in the control and it is recommended to replace the control completely. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
Seems you answered your own question here. You need to make an air gap in the drain hose - take as much slack as possible and make a curve (upside down U) under you sink as high as you can go. Make sure you clip ot to back of the cabinet to stabilize it. Good luck
there is a PROBLEM with the pump.it is most likely clogged,in which case,it must be removed and cleaned.the pump might also be faulty, and so must be replaced.
Had the same problem. Here's what I did to resolve it:
1. Removed the lower spray arm and the mesh filter. I washed the filter and pulled out a few non-degradable particles, including husks and shells.
2. Switched from a liquid detergent to a powder.
3. Turned my hot water heater to the highest setting.
4. Let the water flow in the kitchen sink to ensure it warms up before I run the dishwasher.
