Question about Lexmark X1270 All-In-One InkJet Printer
In order for you to install this printer to your computer without the setup CD, you need to download the printer software and then after that run the software and follow the setup wizard because it will be telling yu exactly what to do during the installation process.

Here is a link to the drivers for that particular printer. You should be able to go to the lexmark.com web site and search for your printer. Go to downloads and enter your printer description or X4850. This is the result I got. If your computer is running Windows, then you need to get either the download for 32 bit or 64 bit software. See microsoft.com link to tell the difference.

You can obtain drivers from Lexmark's download site. Following this link and then enter X1270 into the search. Click the download tab and then choose the driver for your operating system.

If you are running Windows XP, Vista or Win 7, you can try to just plug the printer to the computer and let the computer detect it. Most printers are Plug-n-Play and does not require any additional drivers.
Win XP to Win 7 has a built-in generic driver for most printers that are out in the market.
But if the computer asked for a driver for your Lexmark X534, check the links below and download the driver for free:
